What is Massage Therapy?
Massage therapy has firmly established its role as a clinically beneficial health option used to treat a variety of conditions. Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to help alleviate discomfort associated with everyday stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes. It includes various treatments designed to target specific concerns such as muscular overuse and occupational stresses.
Who Is a Registered Massage Therapist?
A massage therapist is a practitioner who goes through years of education and training to provide quality massage therapy. In Canada, registered massage therapists generally have a relevant degree from a recognized institution. In addition to that, they must undergo 2200 hours of training. After their education is complete, massage therapists undertake a standardized registration test. During the course of their career, massage therapists are also expected to keep up with the developments in the industry with continuing education.

Benefits of Massage Therapy
We understand that sports injuries, mishaps, stress from work and other accidents can cause pains that are hard to relieve, which is why we offer massage therapy services as an alternate way to reduce these pains. Massage therapy includes a variety of techniques that are tailored to your body's needs. Some benefits of our massage therapy that our clients enjoy are:
- Reduction of chronic pain
Whatever the cause of your chronic pain is, massage therapy can help reduce it. Our registered massage therapists will assess your problem and figure out the best massage techniques.
-
Improvement of blood circulation
With its repeated movements, massage therapy can aid blood flow to the soft tissues that, in turn, has a lot of other benefits that include healing an injured area and improved muscle movement. This is shown to also help with post-surgery recovery, for instance, after an ACL reconstruction.
-
Help with back pain and stiffness
Massage therapy helps with back pain and stiffness by relieving the tightness in muscles.

Due to our lifestyle, we spend most of our day sitting in front of our computers. Poor posture is only one of the many negative consequences of this. Massage therapy can help you with this by targeting the muscles that are affected and help you improve your posture.

Flexibility
Our massages will loosen your muscles, which in turn will make your body more light and flexible.
-
Stress management
Our massages can help you truly relax by helping you loosen your muscles and improve your blood flow. Moreover, some evidence suggests that it may also increase the serotonin levels in your body.
-
Better sleep
Consistent massages can help relieve your muscles and reduce your stress levels, which helps you sleep better. Say goodbye to those muscle aches and pains that keep you up at night!
